Tempo ("we", "our", or "us") is a scheduling tool for bands and musicians. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

When you use Tempo, we may collect:

• Account Information: Your phone number, used to sign in and to receive band invites
• Profile Information: Optional name, profile photo, instruments, and location you add to your profile
• Band Information: Band names, member lists, rehearsal schedules, and gig details you create
• Calendar Data: If you connect your Google Calendar, we access your free/busy times (not event details) to help schedule rehearsals

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and improve the Tempo service
• Send you SMS or email invites about rehearsals and gigs from bands you're in
• Help bands coordinate schedules using calendar availability

SMS Communications

Tempo uses SMS to send rehearsal and gig invites and RSVP requests to band members. Users opt in affirmatively by checking an unchecked-by-default consent checkbox, either on our public webform at tempocal.app/sms-signup or within their Tempo profile settings.

When you opt in:

• You may receive SMS notifications about rehearsals, gigs, RSVPs, and band messages
• Program Name: Tempo Band Notifications
• Message Frequency: Varies based on band activity
• Message and Data Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply
• Opt-Out: Reply STOP to any message, or remove your phone number from your profile
• Help: Reply HELP for assistance

Mobile information and opt-in consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS messages are delivered through Twilio, our messaging service provider. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information:

• With other members of bands you join (your name, email, and phone if provided)
• With service providers who help us operate Tempo (such as Twilio for SMS)

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest. Your data is stored securely on Google Firebase infrastructure.

Your Rights

You can:

• Access and update your profile information in the app
• Delete your account by contacting us
• Opt out of SMS communications by replying STOP
• Disconnect your Google Calendar at any time
