Program Overview

Program Name: Tempo Band Notifications

Tempo is a scheduling and communication app for musicians and bands. This SMS program delivers rehearsal reminders, gig notifications, RSVP requests, and group messages to band members who have affirmatively opted in.

SMS is entirely optional. Tempo works fully without a phone number.

How to Opt In

There are two opt-in methods. Both require the user to actively check an unchecked-by-default consent checkbox. No phone number is ever messaged without affirmative consent.

1. Public webform. Visit tempocal.app/sms-signup, enter your name and phone number, and check the consent box.

2. In-app profile settings. Signed-in users may optionally add a phone number to their Tempo profile. The same unchecked consent checkbox and disclosure appear directly beside the phone field. The profile cannot be saved with a phone number unless the user checks the box.

Types of Messages

Rehearsal reminders: e.g., "Tempo: Drawl rehearsal tomorrow (Fri) at 7:00 PM at Studio B. Reply YES, NO, or MAYBE. Reply STOP to opt out."
Gig notifications: e.g., "Tempo: New gig for Drawl — Sat May 3 at The Basement, 9 PM. Reply YES, NO, or MAYBE. Reply STOP to opt out."
Group messages: e.g., "Tempo: Andrew (Drawl): 'Practice moved to 8 PM tonight.' Reply STOP to opt out."
RSVP confirmations & status updates: e.g., "Tempo: All 4 Drawl members have responded to Friday's rehearsal. Reply STOP to opt out."

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your band's activity. Most users receive a few messages per week.

Cost

Standard message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How to Opt Out

You can stop receiving SMS messages from Tempo at any time by:

Replying STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT) to any Tempo SMS message
Removing your phone number from your profile in the Tempo app
Emailing support@tempocal.app

After you opt out, we send one confirmation message and no further messages are sent.

Your phone number and message content are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Mobile information and opt-in consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS messages are delivered through Twilio, our messaging service provider.
